1. Don’t leave your phone plugged in to the charger once it’s fully charged
When fully charged, remove the phone from its charging device. This is like relaxing the muscles after strenuous exercise.
2. Charge your phone whenever you get a chance
Every time your phone loses about 10% battery you should be charging it. So, then you’re not doing ‘big charges’ and stressing the battery out.
3. If possible, don’t charge it to 100%
Li-ion does not need to be fully charged, nor is it desirable to do so. In fact, it is better not to fully charge, because a high voltage stresses the battery and wears it away in the long run.
4. Keep that phone cool as a cucumber
If you notice that your device gets hot when you charge it, take it out of its case first. And keep it out of the sun.
