Ladies be careful out there, a woman has warned the public to be alert after she caught a man filming an ”upskirt” video of her in Mid Valley recently.
Facebook user Giney Chan, the victim, said that the incident happened at the Komonoya store in the mall on Sunday, 8 January at about 5.36pm.
The victim was shopping in the store when she released a man was squatting with a phone in his hands and used the his phone to record a video under her skirt.
”While I shopped at Komonoya in Midvalley, I noticed a guy squad down with his phone camera peeping my underneath,” she said.
Chan decided to confront the man. Upon confrontation, she requested for him to show her what was on his phone but the man apparently was trying to ”delete something on his phone” before passing it to her.
”I quickly snatched over his phone and yelling to my friend for help and he ran away,” she said.
The man then fled the scene. He manage to get away from the situation.
But Chan was right all the while. In the suspect’s phone, Chan found out that there were other victims who had suffered the same fate as she did.
“When I browsed through his gallery, I found out there are six videos, including mine. He has precisely filtered and kept those ‘good’ videos,” Chan said.
“He did this at different places, like pharmacy stores, accessories shop, and others. Preferably those stores with high and low shelves, so you’ll lower your guard down when he bends down back face against you,” she explained.
“He peeps even (when) you’re not alone.”
Chan had addressed this issue to the mall’s management and made a police report.
She also spoke to the Komonoya store manager to take a look at the CCTV recording, but unfortunately, it did not capture a clear picture of the culprit’s face.
